Convert Text to Braille
Our Web Platform for the Project “Braille and
Tactile Art, Digital and Inclusive”combines art, technology, and
accessibility to create transformative multisensory experiences. Designed to be
fully accessible online, it removes physical and sensory barriers, allowing
people with disabilities to explore and enjoy art independently.
As part of this effort, we have created
the Digital Gallery of Cotton T-Shirts, which serves as the
foundation for the 2025 physical and tactile braille collection, to be
presented in Europe under the title “Braille and Tactile Art, Digital and
Inclusive.” Each piece will include braille labels and individual QR codes,
connected to our Platform and the Tactile Braille App we are
developing.
However, we are not limited to creating a
tactile art collection. We also focus on universal education and
learning. We have integrated tools for learning the Braille literacy
system, promoting literacy and autonomy among people with visual disabilities.
Our goal is to foster innovative Braille learning for the global community.
To achieve
this, we are developing interactive pages that include images, explanatory
text, audio, and video, facilitating the learning and use of the Braille
alphabet, vowels, binary numbers, and mathematical symbols. Additionally,
we have incorporated two downloadable GNU-licensed programs:
- Braille
reading software,
compatible with flat screens of smart devices.
- ANSI Braille writing software, which converts text from Word, Excel, or PowerPoint into Braille, allowing for printing.
This project not only transforms how people
with disabilities and visual impairments interact with art but also promotes a
global culture of inclusion and innovative learning.
